Most of our work falls into a handful of sectors: underground mining, civil construction and infrastructure, councils and sign companies, defence, and industrial sites. This page sets out what we make for each of them.
Underground mining
Our main specialism is custom ventilation control devices for underground coal mines. We have supplied multiple underground coal mine sites with ventilation control components and heavy duty rated overcast assemblies, and delivered products to mines across New South Wales, Queensland and Western Australia through trusted subcontractor partnerships.
The range covers airlocks, overcasts, regulators, doors and hatches, man access doors, coffin seals and ancillary devices. Every rated product is certified by qualified engineers.
Mining companies we have worked with include Whitehaven, Glencore, Peabody Energy, Rio Tinto, Gold Fields, Agnico Eagle, Alkane Resources and Pybar Mining Services. See mining fabrication.
Civil contractors and infrastructure
We work with small and large civil contractors, infrastructure and project management teams. We have supplied civil construction companies including Daracon, KCE, Fulton Hogan and Woodbury Civil with a wide range of welded assemblies.
For Robson Civil we fabricated the Cottage Creek Bridge on Honeysuckle Drive, Newcastle, a 30 metre pedestrian and cycle bridge, along with a barrier protection system for the Cottage Creek Redevelopment. Read about the project.
Civil products include stairs, ramps and ladders, rails and protection barriers, steel bollards, custom gate systems and stormwater drainage. See civil fabrication and structural steel fabrication.
Councils and sign companies
We fabricate sign frames and posts for councils, mine sites, civil contractors and sign companies across New South Wales, Queensland and Western Australia. Signs can be temporary or permanent, powder coated to match your colours, and built to meet Australian Standards when required. We can handle large production runs when a job calls for them. Council and public works also use our park and entry gates, bollards and pedestrian rails.
Defence
We have provided the Royal Australian Air Force with storage components.
Industrial sites and tank projects
For industrial and manufacturing sites we make inspection platforms, mezzanines, equipment lockers, asbestos bins, hook bins, stairs and ladders, and components for wastewater pumping stations. Tank Solutions has used us for stairs, walkways and flyover systems on its largest tank projects, designed for easy transport and installation by the site teams.
