What Types of Steel Do You Work With?
GHF can work with any type of steel, alloy or stainless steel material. If you have something specific in mind, please discuss it with us.
Can GHF Quote on Any Type of Project?
Absolutely. GHF has the capability to undertake all types of mining and civil projects. Just send us an email at sales@ghfabrications.com.au with the details and our Operations Manager will be in touch to discuss the details.
What Are Your Business Hours?
Our general business hours are 7am – 4pm Monday – Thursday and we close at 3.30pm each Friday. We are closed Saturday and Sunday.
Where Can I Send My Project Information For A Quote?
Please email sales@ghfabrications.com.au with all the relevant documentation/drawings/details of your project and our team will organise a quotation as quickly as possible.
How Long Will My Project Take to Fabricate?
All projects are very different and therefore have differing project timelines. However, at the time of the quotation, your schedule will be discussed and GHF will aim to provide an estimated project timeline for manufacturing, transportation [where necessary] and installation if required.
Which PSI rating do I need for a ventilation control device?
Most of our ventilation control devices come unrated, 2 PSI rated or 5 PSI rated, and hatches come unrated or rated. Lightweight unrated designs, such as our unrated man access doors, suit low pressure areas. Your mine’s ventilation requirements set the rating, so tell us the rating your site specifies and we will build to it. See mining fabrication for each product’s options, or call 02 4964 8270.
Are your rated designs certified by an engineer?
Yes. All rated designs are certified by GHF’s engineer, and every rated product is certified by qualified engineers. See overcasts and our other mining products.
What certifications does GH Fabrications hold?
Our quality management system is certified to ISO 9001, and our structural steelwork is certified to AS/NZS 5131. We can also supply our quality assurance and environmental policies if your business needs them. See quality assurance.
Which states do you deliver to?
We have delivered mining products to mines across New South Wales, Queensland and Western Australia through trusted subcontractor partnerships, and we make signage for councils, mine sites, civil contractors and sign companies in the same three states. Everything is fabricated at our workshop in Tomago, NSW, and designed for easy transport and installation.
Can you work from our drawings?
Yes. Email your drawings and project details to sales@ghfabrications.com.au and our team will prepare a quote. If you don’t have drawings yet, we can help with planning, design and engineering certification before fabrication.
Do you offer powder coating?
Yes. Powder coating is available in a range of colours, including colours to match your project or your sign. On stairs, a coloured finish can also improve safety on site. See stairs, ramps and ladders and rails and barriers.
What should I send for a quote?
Send us all the relevant documents, drawings and details of your project. For mining products, include the rating you need and sizes, such as the wall thickness or the width between flanges for a hatch, or the belt size for a coffin seal. Our workshop is at 4 McIntyre Road, Tomago, and we supply Newcastle and the Greater Hunter, including Port Stephens, Maitland and the Hunter Valley and the Upper Hunter.
